Apple Silicon
ARM64 version
Built for Macs with Apple’s own chips — M1, M2, M3, M4, and all their Pro, Max, and Ultra variants. These Macs launched in late 2020 and later. Faster and more battery-efficient on this hardware.
Intel
x86_64 version
Built for older Macs with Intel processors. If your Mac was made before late 2020, this is your version. It also runs on Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2, but the ARM64 version above is the better choice for those Macs.

It takes just a few seconds to check:
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
- Select About This Mac.
- Look at the Chip or Processor line.
You see “Apple M1” (or M2, M3…)
→ Download the Apple Silicon version
You see “Intel Core i5” (or i7, i9…)
→ Download the Intel version
